De Zangersheide goedgekeurde hengst Carosso VDL stamt af van springpaardenleverancier Cassini I. Cassini I was zelf eind jaren negentig in de Grand Prix succesvol onder Franke Sloothaak. Linaro was kampioen van de Holsteiner hengstenkeuring. Stempelhengst Caletto II komt zelfs twee keer in de afstamming van Carosso voor. Van moederskant voert G Star het bloed van Elmshorn, die wekelijks in de spotlights wordt gezet door internationaal goed presterende nakomelingen. Voor de nodige bloedtoevoeging zorgen Notaris en de preferente Pericles xx. Moeder Laura sprong zelf op Z-niveau. Uit prestatiefamilie 500 komen onder andere de nationale springpaarden Udo (v. Burggraaf) en Rachella (v. Guidam). Ostara?s volle zus bracht het 1.60 m springpaard Bolanda (v. Tangelo xx).
